REYNOLDS LAW OFFICE
Thanks for visiting!
My name is Dave Reynolds. I am committed to providing my clients with quality, timely civil litigation services for a fair price. With over 30 years of civil litigation experience in the state and federal courts of New Mexico, I provide my clients with seasoned expertise in a wide variety of legal matters, including employment, real estate, civil rights, mortgage foreclosures (representing lenders and borrowers), auto accidents, construction law, bankruptcy litigation, lender liability, aviation, insurance bad faith, commercial litigation, animal and wildlife matters, probate litigation, and complex collection matters.
I am based in Placitas, New Mexico, a short drive from Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, with quick access to courts in Sandoval, Bernalillo, and Santa Fe counties. Part of the service I offer my local clients is to meet with them at their own place of business or in their own home, if that is what is most convenient for them. My clients appreciate my style, which is friendly and informal but combined with an ability to litigate complex matters at the highest professional level.
I am accessible to my clients and responsive to their needs. I always keep them informed of the status of the legal matters they have entrusted to me. You can depend on receiving this level of service from me in your legal matter. You can also depend on me to give you a frank and honest professional assessment of your matter, including strengths and weaknesses of your position, the realities of the litigation process, and the possible alternatives to having a judge or jury decide your case.
My litigation expertise is derived from over 30 years of experience representing a wide variety of clients in widely diverse legal matters. I am a published legal author, having written several chapters of New Mexico Creditor/Debtor Law, as well as the annual supplements to that book since 1989. I have written articles in trade publications such as The National Utility Contractor, and have lectured on collection and bankruptcy matters at several continuing legal education and subcontractor trade organization seminars. In 1991 I became one of the first New Mexico attorneys to obtain certification in business bankruptcy law by the American Board of Bankruptcy Certification, a lengthy process that included passing a rigorous day-long examination at Georgetown University Law School. Most recently, my article, "Tort Liability of Persons Who Feed and Water Wildlife on Their Property" was published in the November 2013 quarterly edition of the New Mexico State Bar Publication, The New Mexico Lawyer.
It has been my privilege to represent clients in every judicial district in the State of New Mexico, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Districts of New Mexico, Arizona, Western District of Texas, Northern District of Texas, Eastern District of Virginia, and the Western District of Oklahoma. I am frequently appointed by district courts in central New Mexico to act as an arbitrator or settlement facilitator in complex real estate matters. My bankruptcy court experience includes matters in the bankruptcy courts of New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, and North Dakota. In the appellate courts, I have briefed and argued cases before the New Mexico Court of Appeals, the New Mexico Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
